I wrote the lyrics about someone I knew a long time ago. When I had a run in with her again she had gotten married and had two kids. I tried to hang out and catch up while her daughter would ask her questions like any little girl. The woman would just scream and yell at her and told her she was so annoying and other aweful things. Finally her father came home. He was a quiet cowboy type who came in the door from a long day of work and wrapped his arms around the baby girl with nothing but love. Time passed and I heard that the father killed himself in their home. I heard through another friend that the woman said she was glad he was gone so she doesn't have to deal with his crazy anymore. This song is really just about how people can be poisonous in relationships and how it's possible to destroy a person. -Poeina
